23. A Company’s target production is to produce 50,000 units of microwave in a year. The Manager of the company came to know that the department was over-staffed, so he decided to lay off few employees. At the end of the year, the Company was able to achieve its target of producing 50,000 microwaves and labour cost was also reduced.

25. Rahul and Sumita, both were working in a reputed company on the post of managers of different departments. Rahul did his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad whereas Sumita did her management degree from Management Institute in her city. Rahul is also a member of AIMA but Sumita is not a member of any such association.

26. A Class teacher of Class XII Commerce constituted a class council of students to organize ‘Swacchta Diwas’. The students planned unitedly various activities and executed them to make the event grant success. The students worked together and supported each other without any chaos. After celebrating Swacchta Diwas, the class teacher told the students that they can plan and execute any event or programme also at their homes in the same manner.

27. Aruhi, Sandeep and Hasan are partners in a firm engaged in the distribution of dairy products in Lucknow. Kamla is a holder of Senior Secondary School Certificate from CBSE with Business Studies as one of his elective subjects. Sandeep had done his post-graduation in Hindi Literature and Hasan in Dairy Farming. One day there was a serious discussion between Sandeep and Hasan regarding the nature of ‘Management as a Science’. Sandeep argued that Management was not Science whereas Hasan was of the opinion that Management was a science Aruhi intervened and corrected both Sandeep and Hasan about the nature of Management as a Science with the help of her knowledge of Business Studies. Explain how Aruhi would have been able to satisfy both Sandeep and Hasan. 6
